Connie Reese is the Chief Community Officer of New Media Lab. Based in Austin, TX, the company designs curriculum-based learning programs for companies new to social media. She is a co-founder and advisory board member of the Social Media Club, an international association of media professionals.
Reese blogs at Every Dot Connects, which was acquired by New Media Lab in March 2009. Along with other media and marketing specialists, the blog deals with blogging, social networking, marketing trends and using the social media for positive works. Reese started the non-profit organization Frozen Pea Fund in 2007 after a friend was diagnosed with breast cancer, with the mission of funding breast cancer research.
Reese specializes in the development of marketing and communication techniques using Web 2.0 technologies and tools. Her presentations instruct in social media integration with traditional marketing and PR techniques, using social networking internally as well as online. She is active in Second Life, a user-created virtual world community, believing that the 3D Web is a new trend that can have important business applications.
