C.C. Chapman is pioneer in the realm of new media, starting his own blog in July 2001, then podcasting in December 2004. He has since become prominent in the podcasting community with his independent podcasts, Accident Hash, U-Turn Cafe and Managing the Gray. He formerly managed PodShow’s Podsafe Music Network.

Chapman has been referred to as a new media maven and grounded futurist. The Smithsonian Channel calls him an American storyteller. This makes him a popular speaker on the topics of podcasting, podsafe music and new media. He has spoken at conferences and meetings worldwide including the Podcast Hotel, Portable Media Expo and Podcamp events. He has been sought for his opinions by the Boston Globe, Wall Street Journal, FOX and ABC news.

In October of 2007, Chapman co-founded the new media marketing company Advance Guard, focusing on social media marketing and other technologies being continuously developed and adapted. As Chapman says: “I’m an avid podcaster, filmmaker and all around web freak. If it’s happening in the digitial media fields, I’m either playing with it or would like to be. I love working with new companies who embrace the change of technology but want to experiment with it in an educated and strategic way. ”
